Honey Garlic Salmon

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets about 125g each
  • Salt, pepper to season
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (mild, sweet or smokey)
  • 1.5 tablespoons butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, finely chopped or minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice, (plus extra to serve). Half a lemon max!

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to medium heat (grill), middle shelf
  • Season salmon with salt, pepper and paprika
  • Melt butter until brown on medium (5) heat
  • Add honey, water, soy sauce and lemon juice, let it combine and mix
  • Add salmon steaks (skin down), cook for 3-4 mins or until golden, season with salt & pepper and baste the tops with the pan juices
  • Move it to oven for 5-6 mins or until salmon tops are charred
