Instructions
- cut onions into thin slices
In a pan
- add oil and butter
- wait till it's hot before adding onions
- add salt (helps to remove water from the onions)
- stir every few mins so that it doesn't stick (burn)
- if it sticks too much, add a bit of water
- cook for at least 30 mins, or until deep brown
- add a bit of light soy sauce and cook it out
